The captain wants glory. Your people need to survive.

Voidship is a survival management game aboard a centuries-old generation ship. Take the engineering watch: keep power flowing, get repair crews and supplies where they are needed, and look after the people who call this ship home.

The reactors already need attention. The captain is preparing for battle anyway.

01 // Hold the ship together

Inspect the ship through a retro terminal. Manage reactors, electrical connections, shields and damaged equipment. Respond to fires and evacuation requests while deciding where your crews are needed most.

Actual gameplay: the ship map during a workshop fire, with damage and power failures across its compartments.

One connected ship. Several emergencies. The same crews and supplies.

Repairs need people. People need time.

Assigned workers still have to travel. Spare parts and ammunition still have to be manufactured and delivered. A repair can be waiting on a shipment while the workshop producing it needs help of its own.

Actual gameplay: workshop production orders, local supplies, output and delivery controls.

02 // Know who you are keeping alive

Meet Ilya Vale, Mara and Neri. Read their messages, discover family ties and follow everyday interactions while the ship prepares for combat. Your replies can affect morale and stress.

Actual gameplay: watch contacts and a resident's personal record.

03 // Survive the captain's plan

Begin with a handover and a damaged ship. Repair what you can, replenish supplies and prepare for the jump. When the shooting starts, keep the ship alive from the inside. Finish with a report based on what happened to your systems and crew.

A ship is their entire world

For centuries, this generation ship has crossed the dark between the stars. Captains inherit the bridge; children inherit cramped quarters and unfinished work. Whole families are born, grow old and die beneath artificial light. Sunlight and grass survive in stories and old recordings.

I'm making Voidship first and foremost because it's a game I want to play myself. I want to keep a battered starship running, get to know its people, and watch their choices become part of its history.

Beyond this demo // development plans

The ambition for the full game is a voyage spanning several hundred in-game years: changing captains, generations of families and consequences that outlive the people who caused them.

  • A ship that breathes and overheats: atmosphere, heat, oxygen, pressure and leaks, with emergencies spreading between compartments.
  • Lives you can follow: deeper daily routines, relationships, families, personal memories and the passing of generations.
  • More events with lasting consequences: social tensions and difficult choices connected to the state of the ship.
  • A captain with an agenda: improved captain AI pursuing its own goals. Keeping the ship alive may mean challenging orders and resisting dangerous ambitions.
  • Further ahead: cooperative play with distinct Captain and Commander roles.

These are plans for the full game. The current demo does not include the centuries-long campaign, detailed atmosphere simulation, autonomous captain AI or co-op.
